Social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, which have become so massively popular, and almost part of our daily norm.

From humble beginnings to world wide phenomenons.

But now they are both being used in a unique way.

For Cyber Monday Sale promotions.

And not only are the retailers utilising the sites. So are the customers who will be buying up big this year in the Internet based sales.

Twitter has been used a lot more this holiday season especially for strategies for shopping. Since Black Friday people ‘twitted’ where to find stores opening at 5am.

Now the big name retailers such as Toys R Us, Walmart, Sears and Kmart are assisting the shoppers to find their deals on Twitter for their Cyber Monday Sales, and also posting printable coupons on Facebook.

Places like Sears and Best buy, are even staffing their Twitter accounts to answer any questions you may have about a purchase.

This is a new way of marketing for the retail giants, but also very smart and effective.

On Twitter you will find MySears, toysRUS, Bestbuy, kmartDealsnNews, WalmartSpecials and TargeT.
The social networking site is a huge for buyers who need a closer connection to the stores they are about to hand their money over too.

And retailers are in hopes that the effort will pay off. Social media use will increase by retailers up to 47 % says Shop.org.
Most retailers now have both pages, Twitter for quick announcements and Facebook for offers and coupons.

If you are new to the pages all you have to do is once you have joined either, is put into the ’search for people’ option in Twitter, and ’search option’ for Facebook , place the name of your favourite retailer and you should then find their page, you can add or request an add too.

So before you buy that big purchase maybe you want to check exactly what they have said about it, or even check to see if you can get an extra savings on a coupon.
